- Watering-hours schedule — Water from 5 p.m.–9 a.m. Hand-held hoses or watering cans.
Restricted uses
- Non-essential outdoor watering — hand-held hoses or watering cans.
Exceptions
- Water use for health or safety reasons — including public facilities used for cooling such as splash pads and swimming pools; washing of boats, engines or marine equipment to prevent negative saltwater impacts or the transfer of invasive aquatic species.
- Water use by permit, license, statute or regulation.
- Water use for food and fiber production — including vegetable gardens.
- Water use for livestock maintenance.
- Water use for core business functions.
- Irrigation of public parks.
- Irrigation of public and private recreation fields — including fields operated by schools, colleges, universities, and athletic associations.
- Irrigation of publicly funded shade trees and trees in the public right-of-way.
- New-lawn establishment — necessary to stabilize soil in response to new construction or following repair or replacement of a Title 5 system.
