Conservation requests

• Customers are asked to limit nonessential water use — voluntarily conserve water by eliminating nonessential water use.
• Customers are asked to avoid watering grass.
• Customers are asked to avoid watering athletic fields.
• Customers are asked to avoid irrigation and watering of outdoor gardens, landscaped areas, trees, shrubs, and other outdoor plants — fresh water.
• Customers are asked to avoid watering golf courses.
• Customers are asked to avoid washing paved surfaces.
• Customers are asked to avoid ornamental water use — including fountains, artificial waterfalls, and reflecting pools.
• Customers are asked to avoid washing or cleaning mobile equipment — including automobiles, trucks, buses, trailers, carts, wagons, railroad cars, campers, and boats.
• Customers are asked to avoid filling and topping off swimming pools.
• Customers are asked to avoid nonbeneficial water use.

Exceptions

• Watering grass — newly seeded or sodded grass areas; professional landscaper during regular working hours; means designed and operated to ensure effective conversation.
• Irrigation equipment testing — professional landscaper or irrigation contractor; newly installed or repaired equipment; not to exceed fifteen (15) minutes per zone.
• Watering outdoor plants — production of food and fiber or maintenance of livestock and poultry.
• Washing personally owned or leased vehicles — odd street addresses on first and third Saturdays of the month; even or no street addresses on second and fourth Saturdays of the month.
• Serving water in eating or drinking places — requested by a customer.
• Filling and topping off swimming pools — public swimming pools and residential swimming pools serving twenty-five (25) or more dwelling units; filtration equipment allowing continued use and recycling of water over the swimming season.
